Singapore Airlines fly Airbus A350’s between Melbourne Tullamarine and Singapore’s Changi Airport as part of four daily flights between the two cities.

Seating
The A350 has a 1-2-1 configuration in Business Class with the table alternating between the left and right of the seat. Be sure to check sites like SeatGuru or Singapore Airlines’s own website to work out what’s the best configuration for you.
Travelling as a couple we chose the middle seats at the back of the smaller Business Class cabin (seats 21D and 21F) which have the tables on the aisle side and a small divider between us. If you’re travelling alone you may prefer to choose a window seat with the table on the aisle side of you for more privacy.
Food services
Two meal services are provided for the 7 hour flight between Melbourne and Singapore, depending on the time of day. We flew SQ218 which departs Melbourne at 00:35 and returned from Singapore on SQ237 at 00:25. Both flights served a dinner meal before the cabin lights are dimmed for sleep, and an optional breakfast prior to landing.
If you don’t want to be disturbed by the food service the A350 seats have a do not disturb option.
In-Flight Entertainment (IFE)
The in-flight entertainment (IFE) system has a wide selection of Western and Asian content. The screen is very large and can be operated as a touchscreen or using the remote which tucks into the seat.
Lounge Access
Singapore Airlines have a dedicated SilverKris Business Class lounge at Changi Airport in Singapore and one in Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne. The Melbourne lounge is a lot smaller than in Singapore as you would expect, but provides a selection of food and drinks.
The Tullamarine lounge is located one level down from departures near the Qantas Business Class and American Express lounges. The Changi Airport lounge that we used is in Terminal 3 up the escalator just near security screening.
