Icing on wing leading edge Dash 8 400

At 20,000 feet between Sydney and Canberra, this photo show ice
building up on the leading edge of the left wing of our Qantas Dash 8
400.You could clearly see the deicing mechanism moving that flexes the
leading edge up and down to break up the ice.Ice was also building on the air intake directly behind the propeller. Not surprisingly it was a fairly bumpy flight, first time in a Dash 8
for my daughter but she handled it really well. I find chupa chups a
great distraction for her as well as a good way to ensure she clears
any blocked pressure in her ears as we descend.
