As part of my postponed Round The World adventure I’m flying through Russia, a place I’m very excited to visit. With the help of an awesome handling and clearance company based in Russia I’ve been working on my routing but have ended up with one leg which is making me a tiny bit nervous.
So read on and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments on whether you’d do this flight or not.
The flight is from Sokol Airport (UHMM) to Anadyr Airport (UHMA) a distance of 802 nautical miles. I have been struggling to get an auxilliary fuel tank fitted to EYZ (long story for another day) so will need to do this using the 90G fuel I have onboard.
The video below explains the conundrum better than I could lay it out here in a blog post, so take a look and let me know what you think. Remember I can wait until I have a good weather day, clear skies and a good tailwind, so take that into account when making up your mind.
