I had a flight in a C172 from Lincoln Park Airport booked in today for 9am but we’re sitting at the tail end of a couple of days of heavy rain and low cloud and sadly we had to postpone. I took the screenshot (left) of the weather from usairnet.com – a brilliant website that’s […]
Our United Airlines A320 at gate B6 at Chicago’s O’Hare airport waiting to take us to New York La Guardia. It was a full flight and we encountered some choppy conditions around 37,000 feet in Cleveland control. Passengers could tune into live ATC communications via the cockpit on channel 9 in the in-flight entertainment system. It was great […]

The screens also showed the standby list, first class upgrades and weather at the destination. This was for flight UA686 Chicago to New York La Guardia.

Just back from a brilliant evening hosted by Airservices Australia at one of their ‘GA Pilot Information Nights’. The night was an opportunity to learn more about Sydney’s controlled airspace and how the actions of GA pilots like myself are handled when flying in and around Sydney Control. Having flown many Harbour Scenic’s with friends […]
